Partners in Protection (PIP) is a cooperation program by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to promote trade chain security. It is similar to the C-TPAT accreditation and promotes compliance with customs regulations in the trade. This voluntary partnership protects your supply chain business from organized crime and enhances Canadian border security. The program helps the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to tackle crimes such as smuggling and combat cross border terrorism. Associating with CBSA through this partnership agreement establishes you as a responsible organization. Lower customs compliance issues and minimized paperwork makes your business eligible for expedited customs clearance at the Canadian border through the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program.
